Where do the sessions take place?
We currently run weekly sessions most Mondays at Great Missenden Lawn Tennis & Padel Club in Buckinghamshire. We hope to soon be able to offer sessions at other venues across the UK.
Who can attend?
Our sessions are open to people living with Parkinson’s, their partners and carers. You don’t need any previous experience of playing padel or any other racket sport.
What’s included?
Each session lasts for approximately two hours. This starts with a short warm-up and tuition from our coaches. You will then be paired up to play a few games of padel with tips from our coaches while you play. It’s then over to the clubhouse for tea, coffee and cake and an opportunity to get to know the players and volunteers.
How much does it cost?
The sessions cost a total of £10 per person inclusive of court and equipment rental, coaching and refreshments. This cost has been heavily subsidised by our generous supporters.
Carers and partners play for the same price. If any sessions are over-subscribed then priority will be given to people with Parkinson's.
How can I give it a try?
We know Parkinson's can sometimes knock your confidence, so we'll do everything we can to make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.
Drop us an email or use the contact form on the website and we’ll be in touch.
